about

Med School wraps up its 2009 release schedule in the same way it began back in February – with a storming single from Finland’s finest. Rapidly ascending through the ranks, Trisector returns with a follow up to the lush, amen-fuelled “Morning Rain” which found favour with the likes of High Contrast, Muffler, Nerm (BBC), London Elektricity (BBC Essential Mix 2008), Blu Mar Ten and Fanu, not to mention glowing reviews in the music press.

“Lifeforms” effortlessly rolls back the years to the uncompromising dancefloor sounds of the late-90s, think classic Ed Rush + Optical with 2009 sensibilities. An intro flooded with industrialised atmospherics is superseded by chunky drums punching through rasping synth work and basslines. Switching it up on the second drop, the track is engineered to even greater gut-wrenching levels to keep the crowd jumping.

Trisector delves deep on flipside “Trace Of A Smile”, calling in the assistance of Inztance. The award-winning Estonian producer demonstrates his astute production in complete harmony with Trisector, constructing a tight framework of rolling beats and growling bass finished with a fine veneer of beautiful guitar and vocal overtones.

These tracks have received DJ support from Survival, S.P.Y, Kasra, Loxy, Mutated Forms, Blu Mar Ten, Chris.SU and London Elektricity among others. The release features exclusive artwork courtesy of the awesome Lonekink!
